A Beam Dot can clear a column of dots on a game board, a row of dots, or both. When a Beam Dot is accompanied by arrows pointing left and right, it can clear a row. When a Beam Dot is accompanied by arrows pointing up and down, it can clear a column. When a Beam Dot is accompanied by arrows pointing in all four directions, it can clear a row and a column at the same time--much like the Sure Shot power-up.
